Even after one lesson I learned so many new things and received many helpful and useful tips. She helped me practice my pronunciation and went over some reading exercises with me as well. I would recommend taking lessons with her, she is patient and kind.
I will try to make this short because there is so many good things to say about Jinko Sensei.
To start, I have had an interest in Japanese since I was little, stemming from anime and being Asian myself, I really wanted to actually commit to truly learning the language and becoming fluent.
Since I began, I have improved so much. My biggest problem was reading, but also not being afraid to just speak in Japanese, and slowly I have become more comfortable, and have broken my stigma of trying to speak in Japanese (just don't be afraid of making a mistake).
The best thing is that Jinko Sensei teaches what is practical. She is a very personable, great and amazing person! What more could you ask for from a teacher if you are really trying to learn Japanese. I cannot recommend her enough.
Anyways, I have enjoyed and continue to enjoy our classes together! If you need help reaching your Japanese goals, this is the teacher for you!

I tailor my lessons to each student's learning style, her/his needs and goals. I use Genki 1 and 2 textbooks and workbooks with most of my beginner to intermediate level students, unless other textbooks and/or learning resources are requested.
During the lesson, my focus is generally on the grammar explanations and practice, as well as reading, and speaking practice. Homework is assigned after each lesson, and students are expected to work independently on vocabulary building, unless otherwise requested.
I encourage all of my students to contact me between lessons if they have any questions, and I will try to answer them within 24 hours.
I am currently accepting students ages 16 and up. I am looking forward to meeting you!

Why Take Japanese Language Classes?
Japanese is a wonderful language to learn, but it can be tricky knowing where to start. After all, understanding the language involves learning the Japanese alphabet, which includes 99 sounds and five vowels, along with three different writing systems: hiragana, katakana, and kanji. While it’s certainly not impossible to learn the language on your own, a private Japanese tutor can do wonders for your progress.
During your one-on-one sessions through TakeLessons, your Japanese tutor will determine your current understanding of this language and create a game plan to help you meet your language goals. If you are a beginner, you will start with the basics to build a strong foundation. But if you already know some Japanese here and there, your tutor will challenge you with new vocabulary, grammar, and more. With your tutor’s undivided attention and support, you will receive the professional guidance you need to master the Japanese language.
