I am a USC graduate and have also studied music privately for over 20 years as well as at the Vocal Power Academy of Los Angeles. My main musical styles that I perform and teach are Pop, Rock, Folk, and Americana/Country but I also have a background in Musical Theater. I specialize in creating a lesson plan that suits the needs and skill set of each individual student.

Well-versed in many vocal genres, I have performed in opera, recital, musical theatre, and choir performances and competitions in the US as well as internationally. I have acquired many different tools for teaching through my studies and performance experience.
Students of all ages and levels are welcome. Styles that I teach include art song, opera, musical theater, and pop with a focus on building a solid and healthy vocal technique. My experience in dance, Alexander Technique, and acting informs my teaching approach. I include body awareness, character interpretation, and making the music come alive as an integral part of the lessons.

Bel Canto singing technique for the modern singer is taught in private and group classes. No one sounds like old opera singers, even if the student wants to sing opera. Students are allowed to choose most of the material they learn in the lesson. There will be times when Rachel will suggest a song to a student but if the student doesn't enjoy the song, they will work as a team to find a song that does work for the student.
